MVI Ministries

MVI has various ministry branches that specialize in reaching specific needs of people. Here are the ministries and areas of sponsorship.

  • ARM: The Automotive Repair Ministries is made up of volunteers who take short-term trips to Central America to repair vehicles for missionaries and indigenous pastors. If you are a mechanic, please consider joining one of these teams. In addition, ARM is looking for people willing to donate parts and vehicles to the ministry. Please, contact Pat & Jane Murray for more info.
  • Bible Schools: Many indigenous pastors and Christian workers have never had any type of formal education or training. In order to help them become more effective in reaching their own people for Christ, MVI has established many schools in "closed" countries and in extremely poor areas. By sponsoring an individual pastor or a school, you will be a part of reaching a nation for Christ.
  • Bridge Ministries:
  • Cry of the Brethren: Suffering…Poverty…Outcast…Imprisonment. All are telltale signs of the church in crisis. God’s children have suffered at the hands of their enemies since the days of Moses. Christ Himself suffered the ultimate persecution…death. Paul and Peter were beaten and imprisoned. Stephen was martyred. John was exiled. It is no surprise that Christ told His followers that they would suffer persecution. Soon thereafter, Nero burned Christians for lighting at his palaces. II Timothy 3:12 tells us to expect persecution, as "all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution."

It should be no surprise then that such persecution continues. It is reported that there were more Christian martyrs in the last century than the previous nineteen centuries combined. Christians in many countries are currently being beaten, imprisoned, forced to leave their homes and are unable to meet, teach or worship.

How then do we define the persecuted church? We define the persecuted church as those Christians that suffer high levels of injustice due solely to their belief in Jesus Christ. In other words, if it were not for their faith in Christ, the persecution would not exist.

  • Medical Missions: By meeting the practical needs of hurting people, they are often more receptive to hearing the Gospel. MVI sends short-term teams to countries around the world hosting medical, dental, optical and surgical teams. In addition, MVI has a Re-Nutrition Center, hospitals, clinics, Maternal Care Center, Leprosy Clinics, etc. Teams are available throughout the year. Make plans to join a short-term medical team and impact lives. MVI also needs medical equipment and supplies. If you would like to donate to MVI, please contact our office today.
